Go here for good beta on snowkiting around Tahoe... http://www.bayareakiteboarding.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19
You don't need lessons if you're proficient on water. The snowkite dvd should be plenty of info to get you going.
Tahoe Mtn Sports in Kings Beach sells snowkites and is knowledgeable about area kite spots... http://www.tahoemountainsports.com/prod_detail_list/tahoe-kiting
Here's a list of snowkite spots that you can Google...
Tahoe Meadows
Martis Meadows
Prosser Reservoir
Boca Reservoir
Grass Lake
Hope Valley
Red Peak/Carson Pass
Caples Lake
Lake Van Norden
Jackson Meadows
Tahoe Keys
Waterhouse Peak/Luther Pass |
