Has anyone got any info about Ben Wilson Kites . I heard some good buzz about the quality and price on these Aussie kites . He was at SlingShot and I found some great articles and videos online . Hope they will be doing some demos in So Cal as I want a new kite before the season . Fingers crossed we will get good wind at Pismo to demo kites and help out Kinsley

I have the 10m BWS noise. I weigh 72kg and ride a 6' surfboard strapless on the coast in northern california. This is my lightwind kite. The BWS people tell you this, but the 10m is really more like a 12m (at least an 11m). I was apprehensive to buy a 10m as my lightwind kite but now I'm happy I did. I take it out in the same winds as my old 12m north rebel.

I've only ridden this kite twice but it is very stable. Not sure, but from the seabreeze reviews (below) I'm guessing that the good upwind performance, stability, and drift down the line comes from the fact that the kite sits deeper in the window than most. Whatever the reason, I felt I had enough control dropping into a wave to unhook for the first time, so I was pretty happy with the kite. I've dropped it a couple times in 3-4' waves and it came out fine. The build quality seems as good as my slingshot rev's.

I love the bar. It is simple, has a push away safety, safety is easy to reload, the depower is easy to adjust on the water, and the bar-ends are soft (I can bang it into my board without worrying as much about dings). I use this bar with my 7m and 9m rev2's and feel much more comfortable with this bar. The only modifications I've made are using a 2011 North leash and suicide ring (the leash has a neoprene sleeve to keep the lines from accidentally clipping into the carabiner).
