waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.3 inch high draped from the carolinas to new york 
state will settle off the mid-atlantic coast this evening. a 29.6 
inch low over the central great lakes tonight will move to a little 
north of lake ontario by wednesday evening, then weaken into a 
trough over eastern new york and new england thursday. a 30.1 inch 
high will then build from the central great lakes and ohio valley 
thursday night to the lower great lakes and mid atlantic friday, 
then off the carolina coast saturday. a 29.2 inch low over the 
central plains will then push its warm front into the lower lakes 
region on sunday.
