waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis... a 30.2 inch area of high pressure over the upper great 
lakes this evening will shift southeastward across lower great lakes 
late tonight and tomorrow morning before moving off the new england 
coast wednesday night. a 30.0 inch low is then forecast to move from 
the mid mississippi valley wednesday night to near lake erie 
thursday, and then move eastward south of the lake thursday night 
before weakening across southern new england friday. another 29.6 
inch low will move through the central great lakes saturday, with 
the trailing cold front crossing the lake saturday night. 
thereafter, a 30.2 inch broad area of high pressure will slide south 
of the lake sunday.
