waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.9 inch high nosing in over the region will exit off 
to the east today. a 29.4 inch low will then track north of the lake 
on wednesday, with its front moving through late in the day. a 
deepening surface low will then track across the great lakes to 
southern quebec wednesday night and thursday, while pushing a cold 
front through the region. the low will then make its way to the 
canadian maritimes friday, while a 29.9 inch high builds across the 
upper great lakes.
