.synopsis...a 29.5 inch low will move slowly north into northern 
quebec today. meanwhile, an elongated 30.3 inch high stretching from 
the lower ohio valley northwest to the upper great lakes will then 
move east into the central and lower great lakes saturday, before 
strengthening to 30.5 inches while expanding across new england and 
quebec sunday into monday. this large high will remain anchored 
across quebec through tuesday.

a weak trough averaging 30.20 inches exits eastward as a ridge 
averaging 30.40 inches builds from the west today. this ridge
affects lake erie and continues to average 30.40 inches tonight 
through this weekend as the ridge axis moves from near the western
great lakes toward eastern new york and vicinity. by monday and
tuesday of next week, a low should wobble generally eastward and 
then northeastward from the lower mississippi valley to atlantic 
waters near the outer banks and extend a trough averaging 30.20 
inches over the lake erie region.
