rip current risk:      moderate. life-threatening rip currents
                       are possible in the surf zone. remember to 
                       swim near a lifeguard and with a non-
                       inflatable device, such as a life jacket
                       or boogie board. 

lightning risk:	       none. 

ultraviolet index:     very high. you need protection against 
                       sun damage. if you need to be outside 
                       during midday hours between 10 a.m. and 
                       4 p.m., take steps to reduce sun exposure. 
                       a shirt, wide-brimmed hat and sunscreen 
                       of spf 15 or higher are a must, and be 
                       sure you seek shade. beachgoers should 
                       know that white sand and other bright 
                       surfaces reflect uv radiation and can 
                       double uv exposure.

wind:                  southeast 15 to 20 mph.

wave heights:          3 to 5 feet.
