Pt O'Conner is an undiscovered paradise for beginners and wake-style riders. Front beach is wide open with the exception of a short pier and a few visitors. Beach conditions are shallow for up to half a mile off shore, less than five feet in depth depending on tide levels. Kiting is perfect during North or South East winds which blow parallel to the beach and pretty much every day. Waves are fetch limited and generally less than a foot or two. So if you looking for big surf conditions you've got the wrong place. Other notable things are public restroom right on the beach great food at Cathy's. Local Expert? edit Edit this Page!

Data from this station is courtesy of the Conrad Blucher Institute, Division of Nearshore Research at Texas A&M University. This CBI sensor uses the GOES satellite to transmit data every 0.5 to 3 hours, therefore wind speed and direction reported at this site could be up to 3 hours old. We believe that this is still preferable to no data at all.
