South Beach Park Directions

To reach Newport from Portland, get onto I-5 heading south towards Salem. Drive through Salem and start looking for signs regarding mileage to Albany. From I-5, take exit # 234 heading west towards Corvallis on RTE 20 (Pacific Blvd. SE). After approximately 12 miles on RTE 20, you will enter the town of Corvallis. Continue heading westward on RTE 20 for another 45 miles until you reach the town of Newport. At the HWY 101 junction in town, turn left (south) onto HWY 101 and continue over the Yaquina Bay Bridge. Immediately after crossing the bridge, take your 1st left turn onto S Pacific Way which be curve back under HWY 101. Take another left turn onto SW 26th St. which will then turn into SE Jetty Way. Follow Jetty Way out to the end of the South Jetty past Newport Water Sports where you will find the main surf/sailing launch.
