Bellingham bcs Overview
This sensor is located on the top of the cold storage warehouse at the north end of the bay. On southerlies (especially prefrontal SE), wind may be filled in at the south end of the bay (Post Pt.), but the windline may not reach the shore yet. Check the bay cam at www.bellcold.com for whitecaps in the distance when in doubt.
On NW days, BCS and the airport may read a bit lower than what you would find at the south end of the bay, and quite a bit lower than the thermally enhanced conditions at Glass Beach and Dogfish Beach off Chuckanut Drive.
