Soda Lakes Overview
Located in Bear Creek Lake Park. Day or Annual pass required; Colorado State Park passes do not work.
One of the warmer lakes in Colorado. Sailboard rentals are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Call 303-697-1522. Weather conditions for wind surfers and other non-motorized boaters at Soda Lakes can be accessed by telephone 303-697-4766. Small lake -- big enough to have fun, but safe for all levels. Nice parking lot, grassy rigging area, and clean restroom facilities. Front range winds are a delight.
The best winds are in the summer, when it is hot and dry on the eastern planes early in the mornings. We have great conditions usually between 6am and 8:30am (dawn patrol). Winds are between 10 and 20, sometimes more.
