This sensor was installed at The Bayside Club - www.thebaysideclub.com - which is beachfront facility on Boundary Bay. Our thanks go to General Manager Tim Saunders for agreeing to host this site. Local Expert? edit Edit this Page!
Shops, Schools, Clubs, Events, Food, Lodging, More,

The sensor itself is mounted on top of a 2 story building. The mast holds the anemometer and vane 10 ft above the roofline on the NE corner. From this position, the sensor gets a clean reading on any winds coming in off the bay from NNE right around to SSE. Westerly winds are offshore at this location and may be more turbulent due to local topography.

We don't have any feedback yet on how this sensor reflects actual conditions on the water. If you have observations please email stu@iwindsurf.com.
