10 am edt saturday.

* winds...northeast 20 to 30 knots with gusts up to 35 knots.

* waves...5 to 8 feet.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a small craft advisory is issued when waves of 4 feet or more are
expected or wind speeds reach 21 to 33 knots which may produce
hazardous conditions to small craft. inexperienced mariners...
especially those operating smaller vessels...should stay in port
during these conditions.

...prolonged northeast winds through saturday...

.fresh to strong onshore flow will develop today and continue through 
much of saturday. modest instability will support gusts to near-
gales at times, especially in saginaw bay. the persistent northeast 
fetch will build significant wave heights to several feet along the 
entirety of the lake huron coastline with maximum wave heights 
generally topping out around 10 feet during the next 24 hours. all 
small craft advisories remain in effect. winds and waves will 
gradually diminish during the day saturday. light wind fills in 
saturday night through sunday night.
