The Adventure
As before, registered participants will meet at Kite Wind Surf in Alameda around 12:30 for a 1pm departure. Rigging & Launching at Crissy beginning at 2pm. Ride & Carve, Rip & Boost for the 8+ scenic miles to Point Emery (with the security of chase boat & jetski support). The bus will depart from Berkeley at 6pm, & return to Alameda for an after-party.
Qualifications
While itâs mostly downwind, you still need to handle obstacles (Alcatraz Island, tanker ships, etc.) and the variable conditions of San Francisco Bay. If you are riding upwind in both directions and can perform simple jumps and if youâre up for the adventure, sign up on the KWS website or in the shop!
We do need a minimum of 30 participants; Tell your friends, Spread the word, Sign up!

| King of the Bay 2005 is the west coast's premier freestyle kiteboarding and windsurfing contest.
The best riders from California's huge pool of amateur talent will compete for the title of King of the Bay Exhibition during two days of aggressive heats including Kitecross - a timed airborne obstacle course over water. This could get messy.
Pros will participate in exhibition heats, and there will be free clinics for the whole family.
KOTBX event site is "3rd Avenue" in Foster City, California. Exit 3rd Avenue off Hwy 101. Events begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
