waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.
.synopsis...a 29.9 inch surface high just off the new england
coastline this evening will continue to track farther out to sea
tonight. a deepening surface low to 29.2 inches will then track
north of the lake tonight, and then to southwestern quebec on
thursday...all while dragging its associated cold front across the
lake thursday morning. the low will then make its way to the
canadian maritimes friday, while a 29.9 inch high builds across the
great lakes for saturday. a trough averaging 29.9 inches will cross
the lake late sunday. on monday a broad area of high pressure
averaging 30.2 inches will pass across the western great lakes,
weakening and broadening further to 30.1 inches tuesday as it
settles over the eastern great lakes.
