waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.
.synopsis...an unseasonably strong 29.2 inch low will linger over
the canadian maritimes through saturday evening before exiting
eastward over the atlantic. a weak ridge of high pressure averaging
29.9 inches will then build over the great lakes saturday night
through sunday. a 29.7 inch low is then forecast to move south of
the lower great lakes monday and monday night, before moving off the
new england coast by tuesday. a broad area of high pressure
averaging 30.1 inches will advance over the eastern great lakes
region wednesday and thursday of next week.
