waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.3 inch low over missouri will move to the central 
great lakes by friday, then will weaken to 29.7 inches as it passes 
across lake ontario saturday. another 29.8 inch low will then deepen 
to 29.2 inches as it moves off the carolina coast and out to sea 
sunday and monday, with a 30.2 inch high then forecast to slide 
across the lower great lakes tuesday.
