waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.0 inch low near lake superior will deepen to 28.9 
inches while moving to central quebec by friday, with its trailing 
strong cold front crossing the lake early friday morning. in its 
wake, a 30.1 inch high will slowly build across the lake friday 
night and early saturday, then will drift off the atlantic coastline 
later saturday and saturday night, with a 29.5 inch low moving 
across ontario and quebec and pushing its attendant cold front 
across the lake sunday. a large 30.6 inch high will then build east 
across the lake monday.
