waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.4 inch high will settle into the lower ohio valley 
through the day today. a strong cold front will then cross the lower 
great lakes later friday and friday night, with a 30.5 inch high 
building into the central great lakes and ohio valley saturday. the 
high pressure will then build east over the lake sunday through 
monday.

snow showers late this morning. waves 1 foot or less. 
.tonight...south winds 5 to 10 knots. waves 2 feet or less. 
.friday...south winds 5 to 15 knots becoming southwest. a chance
of snow. waves 2 feet or less. 
.friday night...southwest winds 10 to 15 knots becoming northwest
and increasing to 30 knots overnight. snow. waves 1 to 3 feet
building to 8 to 12 feet. waves occasionally around 15 feet. 
.saturday...northwest winds to 30 knots diminishing to 15 to
