waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 28.9 inch low will move into the gulf of saint 
lawrence today before moving into the north atlantic by saturday. a 
30.2 inch high will build from the upper ohio valley today to off 
the mid atlantic coast saturday. meanwhile, a 29.6 inch low will 
move from just north of the soo tonight to southern quebec by 
saturday night while weakening to 29.9 inches, and will drag an 
attendant cold front across the lake on saturday. a strong 30.8 inch 
high over the mid mississippi valley sunday will then settle across 
the southeast states monday and tuesday while weakening to 30.3 
inches.
