waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...following the passage of a warm front, a 30.2 inch high 
will build across the great lakes through this evening. a 29.8 inch 
low will track from the upper great lakes to the lower great lakes 
friday, before a 30.0 inch high becomes briefly established 
saturday. another 29.6 inch wave of low pressure will cross the 
lower great lakes sunday with a strong cold front in its wake. a 
30.4 inch high is then forecast to build across the great lakes on 
monday.

chance of sprinkles and flurries, then a chance of sprinkles

.friday...southeast winds 5 to 15 knots becoming west. rain
showers with snow showers likely in the morning, then rain
showers in the afternoon. waves 1 to 2 feet building to 2 to
4 feet, then subsiding to 1 to 3 feet.
