waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a weak trough will move east across the lake tonight. a 
30.1 inch ridge will then build over the lower great lakes tuesday. 
an elongated 29.4 inch low will then stretch from minnesota to the 
central great lakes wednesday, with one piece of this low passing 
just south of the lake wednesday night. another 29.3 inch low will 
develop over the central plains thursday, then move to the central 
great lakes by friday night, then weaken to 29.7 inches as it moves 
just north of lake ontario saturday.

of rain through the early overnight. waves 1 to 3 feet.

increasing to 15 to 20 knots overnight. rain showers likely with
a chance of snow showers overnight. waves 1 foot or less building
to 1 to 3 feet. 
.wednesday...east winds 15 to 25 knots becoming northeast. rain
and freezing rain in the morning, then rain, snow and freezing
rain in the afternoon. waves 3 to 5 feet building to 5 to 8 feet.
