Finding quality accommodations for a moderate price in Bonaire can be a challenge for first timers to the island. Probably the cheapest places to stay, the Surf Hostel, is closing this spring. When I go to Bonaire w/o my romantic wife, I stay at the economical Lizard Inn [ Kaya America #14, Kralendijk]. Impeccably clean, friendly host, quiet air conditioning, congenial atmosphere, daily maid service, reliable WiFi, secure facilities for washing and hanging wet wet suits and harnesses, and finally, walking distance to town. There's no ocean view from the room, but you don't need one at night.
