1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...an elongated 29.6 inch low off the new england coast 
today will rapidly deepen to 28.5 inches by monday as it reaches 
newfoundland. meanwhile, a strong 30.8 inch high over the mid 
mississippi valley today will settle across the southeast states 
monday through tuesday while weakening to 30.3 inches. a strong 29.0 
inch low over the southern canadian prairies tuesday will move east 
to northern quebec by wednesday, with a trailing cold front crossing 
the lake wednesday.
