a warm front sweeps northward across lake erie during the predawn
hours of this morning. otherwise, a ridge averaging 30.00 inches
exits eastward from the lake today as a low of 29.10 inches
wobbles eastward from northern minnesota to lake superior.
tonight, the low should wobble northeastward to west-central
quebec, deepen to 28.90 inches, and allow a strong cold front to
sweep eastward across lake erie. behind the front, a trough
averaging 29.90 inches should linger over lake erie on friday as
a ridge attempts to build from the upper midwest. this ridge,
averaging 30.10 inches, should traverse lake erie from west to
east on friday night and be followed by a warm front sweeping
northward across the lake. on saturday, the ridge should continue
exiting eastward. during saturday night, a cold front should
sweep eastward across lake erie. behind the front, a ridge
averaging 30.20 inches should build from the upper midwest through
sunday night and then exit slowly eastward from lake erie on
monday.
