for waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on lake ontario

waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.1 inch high will slide from the lower ohio valley 
to the mid atlantic region today. a 28.9 inch low will move to james 
bay with a cold front from this low stalling near the lake tuesday, 
lifting northward wednesday as a 29.5 wave of low pressure ripples 
along the front, with this wave passing just to the west of the lake 
wednesday night. the low will deepen to 29.4 inches as it moves 
across southern quebec thursday. a 30.2 inch high will move across 
the ohio valley and mid-atlantic region thursday night through 
friday.

.tonight...southwest winds 15 to 20 knots becoming south 5 to
15 knots. waves 3 to 5 feet subsiding to 1 to 3 feet. 
.tuesday...southeast winds 5 to 10 knots becoming northeast.
waves 2 feet or less. 
.tuesday night...northeast winds 5 to 15 knots. a chance of rain
showers in the evening, then rain showers likely overnight. waves
1 to 3 feet. 
.wednesday...northeast winds 15 to 25 knots becoming west to
30 knots. rain showers during the day, then rain showers with a
chance of snow showers wednesday night. waves 1 to 3 feet
building to 8 to 11 feet. waves occasionally around 14 feet. 
.thursday...west winds to 30 knots becoming northwest and
diminishing to 15 to 20 knots. a chance of snow showers during
the day. waves 8 to 12 feet subsiding to 4 to 7 feet. waves
occasionally around 15 feet. 
.friday...south winds 15 to 25 knots becoming west and increasing
to 35 knot gales. snow and rain showers likely. waves 3 to 5 feet
building to 11 to 15 feet. waves occasionally around 19 feet.
