waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.2 inch storm system over the canadian maritimes
will push north tonight, while a 30.0 inch high will approach 
from the upper great lakes. this wedge of high pressure will cross
the lake tonight before exiting across southern new england 
saturday and saturday night. general high pressure will be found 
over the lower great lakes sunday and sunday night. low pressure 
will strengthen to 29.1 inches while tracking from the northern 
plains on monday and into western ontario province tuesday. a cold
front will slowly make its way across the lake late tuesday or 
early wednesday as the parent low moves toward hudson bay.
