waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.6 inch low tracks southeast across eastern lake 
superior and adjacent portions of ontario today while deepening to
29.4 inches. by tonight, the low pressure shifts east over 
southern quebec while a broad high pressure ridge builds southeast
toward the great lakes basin. ridging builds to 30.2 inches over 
lake superior by wednesday evening then to 30.4 inches on 
thursday. a weak 30.2 inch inverted trough moves across lake 
superior on friday before ridging of at least 30.4 inches moves 
back over the lake on saturday.
