the national weather service in cleveland has issued a small
craft advisory...which is in effect from 8 pm this evening to
midnight edt sunday night.
* winds...winds will shift to the northeast tonight and increase
to 15 to 25 knots. winds will remain from the northeast at 15 to
25 knots on sunday decreasing late sunday evening.
* waves/seas...waves are expected to build to 4 to 6 feet late
tonight and sunday.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a small craft advisory means that waves will average 4 feet
or more and wind speeds may exceed 22 knots which will create
hazardous conditions to small craft. inexperienced mariners...
especially those operating smaller vessels...should stay in port
or return to port prior to the onset of these conditions.

to 8 pm edt sunday...
* wind and waves: during the small craft advisory...expect
sustained winds up to 25 knots from the northeast with gusts
up to 32 knots. the largest expected significant waves will
be 4 feet with a potential maximum wave height of 5 feet.
* timing: the maximum winds are expected around 10 am sunday
with the largest waves expected around 2 pm sunday.

a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
