waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a developing coastal low over delmarva tonight will
strengthen to 29.1 inches as it tracks to near cape cod by early 
friday. this low will then deepen to 28.9 inches as it moves into 
maine on friday night before weakening and exiting into the 
canadian maritimes on saturday. in the wake of this low, a 30.3 
inch high will slide from the upper lakes friday night to the 
carolina coastline on sunday. a 30.5 high will then build across 
the upper plains on monday and build across the great lakes region
on tuesday.
