waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.5 inch low will move into southern ontario this
evening, with its trailing cold front crossing lake ontario 
tonight. a secondary surface wave developing across the carolinas 
tonight will then deepen to 29.1 inches as it pushes northeastward
along the mid atlantic and new england coastlines thursday. a 
cold front will then cross the lake on friday. then a weak 29.9 
inch low will slowly track across the great lakes region over the 
weekend.
