  morning, then slowly fall through the weekend.
* impacts at 13.0 feet. water approaches the parking lot of the union
  protestant church.

* forecast...the river will rise to a crest near 14.5 feet around  8 
  pm tuesday may 21 and fall below flood stage around  4 am wednesday
  may 22.
* at 15.0 feet...flooding occurs on the lowest unprotected city 
  streets, park drives and county roads.
* this crest compares to a previous crest of 14.2 feet which occurred 
  on dec 29 2015.

never drive vehicles through flooded areas. the water may be too deep
to allow safe passage. never allow children to play in or near flood

* moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* forecast...the river will fall below the 17.0 foot flood stage 
  around  2 am thursday may 23.
* at 21.5 feet...high water affects piqua rd...ohio state route 49 
  near the state line along with east side decatur streets. 
  residential flooding begins on east jackson and ogg streets. 
  bellmont high school grounds begin flooding.
* this crest compares to a previous crest of 21.2 feet which occurred 
  on jun 28 2015.

  sturgeon river near alston affecting baraga and houghton counties

.the sturgeon river has fallen below flood stage but will continue to run at or 
above bankfull for the next day or two. light to moderate additional rain is 
expected wednesday but a rise back above flood stage is not expected at this 
time.

advisory for the michigamme river near crystal falls in iron 
county...

.due to recent heavy rainfall, and upstream dam releases, the flood
advisory for the michigamme river near crystal falls will continue.
river levels have been consistent at or near 7.6 feet, which is 
about a half of a foot out of the banks. expect the water levels to 
remain consistent while the upstream dam continues to release a
consistent water volume.
