waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a ridge averaging 30.00 inches extending over the 
central great lakes from new england will weaken overnight. low 
pressure 29.60 inches over wisconsin friday will move southeast 
and reach ohio by sunday morning. the low will move little on 
sunday and then drift to the southeastern states on monday leaving
a trough averaging 29.90 inches over the lake. the trough will 
linger over lake erie through tuesday.

down to 29.80 inches thursday afternoon into friday afternoon as
a low pressure system travels east from minnesota into
northeastern indiana. low pressure will then center across
southern michigan by saturday morning, which will further
diminish pressure down to 29.60 inches. this system will meander
across the great lakes before edging southward by sunday. cloudy
conditions and on-and-off showers and thunderstorms are
expected throughout late friday and into the weekend.

average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.synopsis...low pressure of 29.6 inches over southern minnesota 
will deepen to 29.5 inches as it slowly tracks to southern 
wisconsin friday afternoon. this low will reach southern lake 
michigan by friday evening, then slowly move southeast to the ohio
valley through the weekend. a high pressure ridge averaging 30.1 
inches will extend over the northern great plains friday evening 
and slowly shift over the upper midwest through the weekend.
