low pressure of 29.8 inches east of lake huron will move to new 
england by this afternoon, while high pressure of 30.5 inches 
over northern manitoba moves to lake superior. brisk north winds 
will continue over lake michigan this morning, decreasing by 
afternoon.

the lake superior high pressure will merge with high pressure over
arkansas, moving into upstate new york by thursday afternoon while
strengthening to 30.6 inches. at the same time, low pressure of 
29.5 inches will develop over the northern plains, resulting in 
strengthening southerly flow across lake michigan thursday and 
friday. gales may develop friday and friday night across the lake.

finally, while details are uncertain, strong low pressure around
29.4 inches may move from southern kansas into northern indiana
late in the weekend. if this develops, then northerly gales would
likely occur across at least a portion of lake michigan.
