Bridgeport Airport Overview

This information is for launches off Route 113 (Lordship Blvd) on the Stratford side northeast from Bridgeport. Pleasure Beach provides ample parking and a stretch of sandy beach for a launch into the outskirts of Bridgeport harbor. The site is best sailed on a westerly, where it blows side shore when most CT spots are off-shore. Too much north in the wind direction and the site is less favorable. The other option is Short Beach Park, which is a good spot to sail Nor'Easters.

For Pleasure Beach take Exit 30 off I-95 onto Rt 113 (Lordship Blvd). Bear right staying on 113 following signs for Igor Sikorsky Memorial Airport. Past airport take right onto Oak Bluff Ave and continue into beach parking lot. Launch is on the left.
