waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 30.6 inch high stretching across southern ontario 
and quebec will slowly drift to the saint lawrence valley 
overnight. this area of high pressure will be over the lake monday
through wednesday. a 29.7 inch low over the upper great lakes 
wednesday night and thursday will push a strong cold front across 
the lake thursday night. on friday...the lake will find itself 
between a 29.5 inch low over quebec and a 30.5 inch high over the
northern plains.

.synopsis...
a high pressure ridge averaging 30.40 inches will affect lake 
erie through wednesday as the core of the ridge drifts from near 
james bay toward the southern appalachians. simultaneously, ian's 
remnant low should meander in vicinity of atlantic waters near the
delmarva peninsula and maintain minimum central pressure around 
29.80 inches. on thursday, a cold front should begin to sweep 
southeast across lake erie with high pressure 30.40 inches moving
over the region by the weekend.
