Eastern Point Overview
West Beach, Beverly Farms, MA Wind directions- works best on SE/SW (on shore) NW OK too but sketchy. Launch- BIG ROCKS! At high tide water hides rocks so try to observe! Get out and stay out! In summer many boats moored. Best to drag gear down to the right by the old pier and launch from there. Very sailable at low tide, easier to spot rocks. Nice for learning. MUCH shorter to water than Nahant. VERY NICE jumps on a SE. Good spot for light wind gear also. Bring a weed fin! Water chilly. All comments welcome!
Residents only during summer, but after 3PM or really windy they don't care-Beverly Farms train about 1/4 mile up 127 is free.

Sensor Notes
The sensor is located on Eastern Point Lighthouse. The sensor is above the lighthouse so the readings will be obviously high, but may accurately reflect conditions over open water. We installed this site primarily for meteorological reasons. It works great for catching the onset of an afternoon thermal. The fetch is unobstructed in all directions! One of the best located sites in the network.
