waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.1 inch low over far western quebec south of james
bay will track to central quebec this afternoon with a trailing 
cold front crossing the lakes. this low will then further 
strengthen to 28.9 inches tonight into friday as it moves off into
the canadian maritimes. a ridge of high pressure averaging 30.1 
inches will then build into the eastern great lakes friday 
afternoon before moving off the mid atlantic coast by saturday 
morning.

increasing to 35 knot gales this afternoon. showers late this

.tonight...west gales to 35 knots becoming northwest and
diminishing to 30 knots after midnight. a chance of rain showers
