waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.1 inch low will move from hudson bay today
eastward across northern quebec tonight, with a trailing cold
front crossing the lake late this afternoon and evening. a 30.3 
inch high will then build across the lake wednesday, before a 29.3
inch low tracks from the central great lakes late thursday to 
southern quebec and slowly weakens to 29.5 inches friday. 
following the passage of this low, a weak 29.9 inch high is 
forecast to build across the ohio valley and lower great lakes
late friday and friday night.

to support southerly gales over lake huron through the morning
hours, with winds shifting to the and diminishing in the afternoon
and evening. lighter winds will be around for wednesday before a
renewed chance of gales arrives on thursday as deepening low
pressure tracks through the central great lakes.
