waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...a 29.2 inch low will move from north of lake superior
this morning to just east of james bay tonight while deepening to
28.9 inches. a strong cold front trailing this low will cross the
lake today. a 30.5 inch high will build into the ohio valley on 
thursday and then across the mid-atlantic coast on friday. a 29.3 
inch low will then track across quebec on saturday, dragging 
another cold front across the lake late in the day.
