.synopsis...
a ridge averaging 30.10 inches exits slowly southeastward from 
the lake erie region through sunday. during sunday night through 
monday night, a cold front will drift southeastward across lake 
erie. this front should then waver in a north-south manner 
between lake erie and the upper and mid ohio valley through this 
thursday as weak lows move generally eastward along the front. 
simultaneously, a ridge averaging 30.10 inches attempts to build 
from james bay and vicinity.

low pressure of 29.8 inches will move east through the northern 
great lakes region exiting sunday night. southerly winds will 
increase across the lake today as it approaches. as the low moves 
through the upper peninsula of michigan tonight, a cold front 
will cross the open waters. rain and thunderstorms are expected 
along and ahead of the front. a few stronger storms will be 
possible with gusty winds being the main hazard. the front and 
storms will linger across southeastern portion of the lake through
sunday afternoon. winds will shift to the north to northwest 
behind the front. north to northwest winds will remain across the 
entire lake until mid day monday. 

high pressure of 30.0 inches will approach and cross over the 
northern open waters monday evening. fair conditions and weakening 
winds are expected throughout the day. light and variable winds are 
expected monday night. a second area of high pressure around 30.1 
inches will move in behind the first keeping winds light and 
variable through mid-week. tuesday there is a small chance of 
showers and isolated thunderstorms as heat and humidity builds back 
into the great lakes region.
