waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest
1/3 of the wave spectrum. occasional wave height is the average of
the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.synopsis...
a cold front with pressure of 29.70 inches will sweep 
southeastward across lake erie on sunday. behind the front, 
another ridge averaging 30.00 inches will build from the northern
great plains to the ohio valley monday before the ridge begins to
exit eastward on tuesday and wednesday. on wednesday night 
and thursday, a potent low should move east-northeastward from 
the upper mississippi valley to southern quebec and deepen to 
around 29.10 inches. accordingly, a warm front should sweep 
northeastward across lake erie wednesday night and be followed by 
the eastward passage of a cold front on thursday.

a cold front will slowly move southeast across southern lake 
michigan this evening. modest west to southwest winds will become 
northwest with the frontal passage. modest northwest winds will 
continue through sunday. winds then shift southwesterly on monday
as high pressure slides southward and low pressure of 29.7 inches
progresses southeastward through the northern great plains. low 
pressure crosses lake michigan on tuesday, with strong southwesterly
winds to the south of the low. thunderstorms are possible once 
again. wednesday, an additional low pressure system will progress 
eastward into the upper midwest, bringing gusty southeasterly 
winds and perhaps some gales. this low is also expected to cross 
lake michigan, bringing thunderstorms and gusty northwest winds by
the overnight hours and into thursday.
