Duck Pier Overview
Pretty good indication of the wind in the ocean or sound as the meter sits far out and high up. Actual sound wind may be a few knots higher. Only downside is this meter only updates every 30 to 60 minutes. Kiting in Duck recommended for advanced kiters only as the beaches are narrow, can be crowded and the sound launches are nonexistent unless you hike out and water launch.
